Crispy corn is a popular snack that features corn kernels coated in a crispy batter and deep-fried until golden brown. It's a delightful and crunchy treat that can be enjoyed as an appetizer, party snack, or even as a side dish.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups of frozen corn kernels thawed and drained
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour/corn flour
  • 1/4 cup cornmeal optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt adjust to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying

For the Coating:

  • 1 tablespoons Melted butter/Ghee
  • 1/2 tbsp Chat masala
  • 1/4 tbsp Red chilli powder

Instructions
 

Prepare the Coating:

  • In a small bowl, mix the melted butter and hot sauce to create the coating. Set aside.

Prepare the Corn:

  • In a large bowl, combine the thawed and drained corn with the all-purpose flour, cornmeal, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss until the corn is well coated with the dry mixture.

Fry the Corn:

  • Heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil in a deep pan or skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Once the oil is hot, carefully add the coated corn in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan.
  • Fry until the corn is golden brown and crispy, stirring occasionally for even cooking. This should take about 4-5 minutes.

Coat with Butter Mixture:

  • Using a slotted spoon, remove the crispy corn from the oil and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  • While the corn is still hot, drizzle the butter and red chilli, chat masala mixture over it. Toss to coat evenly.

Serve:

  • Transfer the crispy corn to a serving platter and serve immediately.
